Teaming with Adult Education

The snow is beginning to fall here in Maine, a blizzard warning is
posted for today and tomorrow(mon/tues) and I understand we can expect
about 10-24 inches along the coast..... But Thursday will be sunny
and 50, so my mind turns to our meeting, and away from shovelling....

I was just wondering if anyone has direct experience with, or can
connect me with a district or a project that is taking advantage of
the established Adult Education infrastructure within a
district/region to offer ongoing technology staff development. As we
near the end of our fully funded period we are actively working to
move our services/skillsets to within the infrastructure, so they will
continue far beyond our project's federally funded period.

It is going well, with web page creation and maintenance being taken
on at the building and even grade level or department level, basic
training and support being available at the building level through a
'train the trainer' model, and other pieces becoming a part of the,
'way schools do business' in the midcoast Maine area.

As the staff developer, my primary concern is for the continuation of
a robust training program that will grow and change along with the
demand, and in looking around for the place to 'hook it on to', Adult
Education is the natural. We have had some great conversations with
the director of adult ed, and I know it will work.

Anyhow, anyone out there with a connection/place to look/URL to visit,
etc? Thanks, and think of us when you watch the weather tonight...

Jim
