I'd like to follow up on Gwen's questions with a question for my own
information... It would help me understand some of the context of the
comments.

What is the NIE definition of dissemination? Or better dissemination to
what end?
 My dictionary definition is:
	1. To scatter widely, as in sowing seed.
	2. To spread abroad; promulgate: disseminate information.

and I get the feeling that dissemination is simply spreading the word.

I worked for over 15 years in Dept of Ed projects where dissemination was
most often tied to "adoption" (getting others to adopt your project) and
"adaption" (getting others to adopt recognizable parts or a varient of your
project).

We've got a ED project now where the dissemination objective is "good PR to
help get continued support for the program".

Thanks
Ray Rose
