Donald Zimring

Dr. Zimring has been with the Las Virgenes Unified School District for 27 years. He began his career as a middle school teacher and has served as assistant to the Superintendent, Middle School Assistant Principal and Middle School Principal prior to becoming Deputy Superintendent of Schools. He earned his PhD from the University of California, Santa Barbara in Educational Administration and a Masters Degree in Classroom Instruction from UCLA.

Dr. Zimring has served on a variety of committees and Joint Powers Authorities statewide. For the past decade he has served on the California Association of Business Officials (CASBO) Professional Development Committee and assisted in developing numerous inservice programs for public schools.

He has been a frequent presenter for both CASBO and ACSA as well as serving as an instructor in school finance for California Lutheran University.

Dr. Zimring has long been a strong advocate of inter-governmental cooperation and planning and is currently serving as a representative from the School District on a multi-agency committee that will update the Master Plan for the area served by the Las Virgenes School District.

Dr. Zimring is married with three children and resides in the City of Agoura Hills.
