William F. Pickens

William H. Pickens serves as President and CEO of the Foundation for Educational Achievement. He holds a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in History from the University of New Mexico and a Ph.D. in U.S. Economic History from the University of California at Davis. He has held senior roles in universities, consulting organizations, and a state coordinating agency. He has taught at the University of California at Berkeley, and is currently the Director of the Executive Leadership and Management Institute held at Stanford and sponsored by the Western Association of College and University Business Officers. Dr. Pickens has served the community as a member of an affordable housing corporation, a teacher in the Junior Achievement Program, and a bone marrow donor. He joined the Foundation in April, 2000.
